Consular Division in this Mission caters to Sri Lankan community by Passport Services, Registration of Births Marriages and Deaths and other Consular Services, and providing Visa Services to foreign nationals.

HOW TO OBTAIN A NEW PASSPORT?

Please get an application form from the embassy or download the application form from the embassy website. Fill the form and submit it to the Consular Counter at the Embassy.

If you need a Travel Document urgently you can obtain an Emergency Passport, provided you qualify for it. This called Non-Machine Readable Passport. Other services provided are Renewals, Endorsements, Change of Profession, Change of Name etc. on the same day, paying the recommended fees, with the relevant documents.

LOST/DAMAGED PASSPORT

If you lose your passport, then please inform the nearest Police Station and obtain a police report. You may apply for a duplicate passport with application for lost passports along with the Police Report and three photographs.

If your passport gets damaged, you are entitled to get it replaced. Apply for a duplicate passport with an Application for a damaged passport, original- damaged passport as a confirmation, and the relevant fee.

ISSUE OF VISAS

This Embassy issues Business,Visit, and Transist visas for all Nationalities living in the State of Qatar. It also issues visas for other Nationalities if proper documentation is submitted.

Copies of Marriage Certificates of Foreign Nationals

Foreign Nationals who have registered their marriages in Sri Lanka can apply for copies of their marriage certificates from the Embassy by payiung the relevant fees.
