Visa Application Process for Travelers to Sri Lanka

Please be informed that the website for online visa applications to Sri Lanka (https://www.srilankaevisa.lk) has been unavailable since 2 August 2024, from 17:00 hours Sri Lanka Standard Time.

Until further notice, travelers to Sri Lanka from Qatar are advised to obtain on-arrival visas at the Airport/Port of Entry in Sri Lanka. Please note that the existing visa fees remain unchanged.

However, the on-arrival visa method mentioned above is not applicable to nationals of Afghanistan, Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Syria, Ivory Coast, North Korea, Yemen, Uzbekistan, Colombia, and Madagascar. Nationals of these countries are required to apply for visas through the Head Office of the Department of Immigration and Emigration in Colombo via a representative or sponsor in Sri Lanka.

Additionally, nationals of Pakistan, Myanmar, and Nepal must obtain prior approval before applying for on-arrival visas by contacting the Embassy at slemb.doha@mfa.gov.lk
