In a significant step toward fostering stronger business ties between Sri Lanka and Qatar and enhancing investment opportunities, a special delegation from Port City, Sri Lanka, visited key real estate companies in Doha from September 3 to 5, 2024. This visit was facilitated by the Sri Lankan Embassy in Doha in collaboration with the Qatar Sri Lanka Business Council.
The delegation was led by Mr. Tian Zheng, General Manager of Investment Promotion and Marketing, and Mr. Asiri Peramunegegama, Senior Manager of Investment Promotion and Marketing. The primary focus of the visit was to promote real estate investment opportunities in Port City Colombo, Sri Lanka’s landmark project and a vibrant international hub for commerce, finance, and tourism. The delegation engaged in high-level discussions with several leading real estate investment companies in Qatar to explore potential partnerships and investments across diverse sectors.
During the visit, the delegation met with Eng. Ali Mohamed Al-Ali, CEO of Qatar Diar. His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Mafaz Mohideen, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the State of Qatar, guided this initiative, underscoring the importance of strengthening economic ties between the two nations.
